在會務方面，我們會在歷屆理事會承傳給我們的穩固基礎下，做出反應現時情況的修正。
在會員及學生人數的招收方面，我們會更積極的採取靈活及有效的宣傳方式。
在與會員及學生家長的服務及溝通方面，全體的理事會成員將會盡全力扮演溝通的橋樑。
在財務方面，本人認為在如此無私及奉獻的團隊結構下，沒有任何"節流"的空間。唯一能改善財務窘境的方向就是開發新財源。雖然本會為非營利組織，但是還是要面對財務赤字的問題。

進入主流社會已是刻不容緩的課題。根據初步的統計，中文學校的家庭背景，已經逐漸由傳統第一代移民變成了多元化無特定地區背景的”美籍華裔”家庭。因此，在美語系家庭與日激增的趨勢下，走入主流的需求也就會更大。

今天執筆寫此文的同時，正是北京奧運的閉幕日。當人們摒除彼此的政治立場為這次賽事劃下完美的修止符而感到興奮之餘，我們也嗅出了一股如火如荼學習中文的熱潮即將展開。至此，敝人很期望能為這新會期貢獻微薄之力。

President's Message:

Dear parents,

It is truly an honor to be elected by my fellow Board Members as the President of North Orange County Chinese Culture Association (NOCCCA). I feel privileged to be able to work with so many talented individuals in the school administration and Parent Teacher Association. Together, we are committed to serve the NOCCCA Family.

On Sunday, Aug 24, 2008, your Board of Directors had its day long Business Planning Session. Instead of spending the precious Sunday with their loved ones, the Board members spent the whole day setting up the grand plan for the new school year.

The Board pledged its support to Principal Lin's School Administration. We approved the school budget as well as the operation outline. During the planning session, we also challenged the school to think outside the box, and encouraged the administration to explore new ways and approaches.

The Board is committed to make changes. We will work on project aiming to increase student enrollment and membership size. In addition, the Board pledged to offer members various communication channels to voice their opinions.

As your President, I plan to spend additional effort on improving the Association's financial status and ways to get more involved in the main stream community.

Running on budget deficit for a number of years, the Association runs on a tight budget and does not have any expenses that can afford any further reductions – many positions have been staffed by volunteers or at below market pay. The only way to reduce the financial deficit is to increase our source of income.

As demographic of the members are shifting from "first generation Chinese speaking families" to a more diversified background, the Association must take actions to become part of the main stream community. I will make it one of my goals to start the process.

As I am writing this article, it is the last day of Beijing Olympic Games. With the near perfect conclusion of this unforgettable event comes the era of more people interested in learning the Chinese language and culture. I am looking forward to contribute to this Community in the upcoming year.

協會簡介

北橙華人協會由吳慧南女士於一九八四年十月成立，經過合法申請，於一九八六年成為一個文化組織。經歷屆會長﹕吳慧南，詹吳淑馨，賴本隆，孟慶海，高為宜，施維德，須國勇，顏永芳，沈健行，周保華，林勁草，許家綜，郭慶原，黃少甫，劉明山，李光傑，李莉，葉行健，陳耀堂，劉有為，陳英鵬，房爾雯及現任會長劉大伸和各屆理事，同心協力，辛勤耕耘，並在全體會員支持下，會務蒸蒸日上，目前已有百餘戶。

協會下屬的中文學校，也在歷任校長﹕吳林燕瓊，何張璋，周保華，黃少甫，吳慧南，張玉英，郭慶原，沈健行，須國勇，許真莉，劉明山，黃淑灌，陳衡生，張妮娜，房爾雯，林鈴惠，郭祐政，張妮娜及現任校長房爾雯和全體教職員胼手胝足之下，學風鼎盛，目前已有一百六十多名學生，嶄露頭角於南加州所有中文學校。

北橙華人協會為一非政治，非宗教，非營利之組織，以發揚中華文化及參與社區活動為宗旨。其最高權利機構為會員大會，下設理事會為最高執行單位。理事會每月定期召開理事會議，研訂並推展會務，且監督中文學校之教育工作。中文學校之校務由校長負責，家長會協助之。

今後本協會仍將以發揚中華文化，培育下一代之菁英為目的，並配合主流社會，繼續努力，在所有會員扶持下，使本會更加茁壯。

NOCCCA Introduction

North Orange County Chinese Culture Association (NOCCCA) was founded by Ms. Julie Wu and became an officially registered, non-profit culture organization in 1986. Under the nurturing guidance of past and present presidents and Board of Directors, the NOCCCA membership roll has grown to more than 110 supportive families since its inception in October of 1984.

North Orange County Chinese School (NOCCS) is the association's main affiliation. With devotion and care of past and present principals and teachers, they have cultivated an excellent learning environment at NOCCS. The school currently has over 160 students. Despite its brief history, NOCCS has distinguished itself among the Chinese schools in southern California.

NOCCCA is a non-political, non-religious, and non-profit organization with a mission of promoting Chinese culture through participation in community activities. The general assembly of members, the association's highest authority, delegates the Board of Directors to conduct business on behalf of all members. Supervised by the Board and assisted by the parent teacher association (PTA), the principal is in charge of all NOCCS affairs. In addition, several permanent and ad hoc committees perform various duties for the Board.

With support from all members, NOCCCA endeavors to continue fostering the appreciation and understanding of Chinese language and cultural heritage among young generation.
